Comprised of two original nines designed by Sir Henry Cotton, the 18-hole layout came to fruition in 1985 and quickly became a European highlight. Meandering through a nature reserve, the back nine, in particular, presents spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Several holes approach the beach. The 11th and 14th are challenging and dramatic par-4s, images certain to sear into the memory of any golfer who plays here. The 15th is another scenic highlight, a lovely par-3 that parallels the ocean.
