Designed by the legendary British golfer Sir Henry Cotton and upgraded in more recent times by the American golf architect Rocky Roquemore, it offers some of the best golf in the Algarve. The breathtaking 16th hole on the Royal Course is a par-3 that plays along the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The European Tour star and former Ryder Cup member Jarmo Sandelin described it as one of the most difficult he’s played when the wind is blowing in.
