Golf Schedule
Overlooking Deauville's bay, players play under the windows of the Grand Hotel at Deauville Golf. An old and challenging course designed by Tom Simpson. A large variety of trees such as oak, elm, ash, apple trees (symbol of the Calvados country) surround the fairways. Deauville is one of the most exclusive golf courses in Normandy and visitors come from all over the world to enjoy the course. The 17th is a delightful par-3 that measures 187 yards from the back tees.
Situated at the top of Etretat's cliffs and overlooking the worldwide known natural arches in the cliffs (Aiguille Creuse), this outstanding golf course is considered one of the most spectacular in Europe. Like an authentic links, Etretat Golf Course is subject to windy conditions and thick gorse surround some of the fairways requiring long and straight iron shots. Even though you have reached the green, the difficulties remain with the contoured slopes and the strong winds making putting tricky.
Tree-lined fairways and perilous lakes fill the spaces on this majestic course located on a 1,400-acre estate in the Loire Valley. The easier of the two courses designed by Von Hagge here, there are still a number of demanding shots which require a bold stroke and steady nerves. The layout, which opened in 2013, is enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels and offers multiple sets of tees to accommodate everyone while providing a pleasant experience.
Many legends of golf, from the esteemed American amateur Bobby Jones to the Englishman and major champion Sir Nick Faldo, have walked the lush fairways at Chantilly. The course was a primary host for the French Open in many years and often proved a formidable test, rarely relenting to the pros many scores in red numbers. Robust from the back tees and demanding accuracy from each teeing ground, this is yet another Tom Simpson gem.
The championship links course has played host to the European Tour’s French Open on many occasions and is the 2018 Ryder Cup venue. A enormous water hazard plays a critical strategic role on each of the last four holes, including the 18th, a dramatic risk-reward short par-5. The hazard protects the front end of the green, forcing the brave golfer to strike a pure shot in his attempt to reach the green in two shots. Truly one of Europe’s finest, combining beauty with thoughtful design.
