Idyllically situated in Queenstown, New Zealand, overlooking Lake Wakatipu to The Remarkables mountain range, Hotel St Moritz embodies the spirit of its location. <Day 4 ~ The Hills

Play today at The Hills (tbc). Opened in 2007, it is set over 101 hectares (250 acres) of former deer farm on the outskirts of Arrowtown in Central Otago. The Mill race winds its way through the property and feeds the ten lakes and various ponds and waterways on the golf course. Trees, both native and exotic, are a feature of the course. The Hills Course is a private members clubs which will on occasion allow outside visitor play. Regular co-host venue to the New Zealand Open.

<Day 5 ~ Jacks Point

Play today at Jacks Point (tbc). The course is bounded by the Remarkables mountain range and Lake Wakatipu. It traverses through wetland to the lake edge encountering steep bluffs, indigenous vegetation and wildlife. It is designed to work with nature, not against it. Fairways are designed with minimal excavation and careful plantings to complement the natural environment, but also to give the golfer a fighting chance. Cart is included in the green fee.

The Farm at Cape Kidnappers opened in 2007 and is a true five star experience. Cape Kidnappers is set on a 6,000 acre sheep and cattle farm which emcompasses land reminiscent fo Montana but plunges 800 ft straight into the sea. Located on the North Island in Hawke's Bay, one of New Zealand's most important wine districts. On the exterior the lodge resembles a cluster of farm buildings. Local materials are incorporated into graciously sealed rooms full of natural light and unexpected treasures. Comfort and ease are at a premium with each room taking on a character of its own while harkening back to the rural feeling of the New Zealand sheep station and wine country. Spacious cottages each with breathtaking views open to large porches overlooking a stunning Pacific panorama. The cottages feature calm colors and materials yet contain all the modern amenities one could wish for. Renowned architect Tom Doak's first project outside of the U.S.A., Cape Kidnappers is perched on fingers of land nearly 500 feet above Hawke Bay, this vertigo inducing course, creased by ravines and patrolled by gannets, belongs more to heaven than earth. It is seaside golf at its finest, you'll hit heroic shots over the tops of tea trees, and play cautiously along the edges of deep ravines, every hole has a view of the Bay. Enjoy your game and enjoy the setting. You will never play golf somewhere like this again.

The lodge and course at Kauri Cliffs are situated on the truly spectacular Pacific Ocean coast, a little north of the Bay of Islands. Kauri Cliffs opened in February 2001. The main building boasts a large dining room, lounge, card room and tiger room named after the resort owner's affectionate moniker. All rooms in the main building have open fireplaces, and elegant furnishings, featuring English, Italian and Spanish antiques. All the artwork has originated in New Zealand. Adjacent to the main building is the accommodation. Sixteen rooms feature in eight separate cottages looking from the edge of native New Zealand forest, across the golf course to the Pacific Ocean and coastal islands. Each room has a private veranda, large lounge and bathroom, TV, open fireplace ad full his and hers walk-in wardrobe. Facilities at Kauri Cliffs include golf, a spa, heated pool, hunting, kayaking, a gymnasium, business centre, two tennis courts, various nature trails and three easily accessible private beaches. This evening depart the United States. You will travel over the International Date Line and arrive in New Zealand two days after your departure.

Walking tours, most conducted by the Art Deco Trust, operate daily and leave from the Marine Parade and proceed through Napier's Art Deco Quarter and a stylish retail shop. Delight in the decorative and colourful buildings - Napier is famous for its Jazz age architecture.

Visit the Treaty House, fully carved Maori Meeting House, Maori war canoe, the award winning sound and light display in the meeting house and the magnificent park like grounds where the Treaty was signed in 1840.
