Your Itinerary
From the moment you walk through the doors of Ireland's K Club, you are met with the highest standards of gracious living in a 5 star hotel just 40 minutes from Ireland's capital city and Dublin international Airport. Opulent, classical surroundings reflect elements of Ireland's history and reveal the best of luxury accommodation. You are assured of the warmest of welcomes from the most discretely helpful people you are likely to meet. Two championship golf courses, a luxury spa, the best of Irish cuisine and an idyllic river setting complete the picture as the perfect venue for a vacation, conference, wedding, weekend break or golfing holiday in Ireland. At The K Club, each of the bedrooms and suites are individually appointed to the highest standard. There are no two rooms alike in terms of size and interior, making it one of the only resorts in Ireland that can boast this unique characteristic. Each room although unique in style possesses every luxury you would expect of a five star resort. With four excellent restaurants, Dining at The K Club is undoubtedly one of the highlights of any golf trip.
<Sun, June 18 ~ The European Club
Today play The European Club (tbc) at Brittas Bay. Tucked amid tumbling dunes 30 miles south of Dublin, the European Club has been appreciated from the time it opened in 1987 as one of Ireland's finest links courses. The majestic layout features massive dunes, the longest green in the world (127 yards, No. 12) and the unique delight of a 20-hole round, offering an extra pair of par-3s to enhance the experience. The 7th has been ranked among the top 100 holes in the world. It’s a 470-yard par-4 set on a sandbank through a bed of reeds with a burn right, beyond which are a hundred acres of unspoiled links land, and towering dunes left. Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Padraig Harrington have played here and enjoyed the course because it demands both solid ballstriking and sound strategy. As no caddies are offered at the European Club your green fee is inclusive of a shared golf cart.

<Mon, June 19 ~ Royal Dublin Golf Club
Golf on Royal Dublin (tbc). One of the oldest links in Ireland, founded in 1885, Royal Dublin is a classic out-and-back links layout in a unique location on an island preserve in Dublin City. H.S. Colt rebuilt the course after it suffered heavy damage in the First World War which lead to a multitude of championships like the Irish Open won by the likes of Seve Ballesteros and Bernard Langer. Martin Hawtree’s redevelopment opened in 2006 as a formidable 7,269 yard test highlighted by “Hogan’s”, the par-four 15th that appears straightforward enough unless you find the left rough and under club your approach. Please note a very limited supply of golf carts are available for hire. Certain restrictions may apply, please advise your Golf Travel Specialist.

<Tue, June 20 ~ Portmarnock Golf Club
Today play at historic Portmarnock (tbc). Portmarnock Golf Club is the undisputed leading links in Dublin, found only 10 miles from the airport. It is also recognized as one of the finest in the world regularly listed among the top 50. The Irish Open has played here nearly 20 times along with the Walker Cup, the Irish Amateur Close Championship and the British Amateur Championship. Found on 500 acres of a sandy peninsula facing the Irish Sea, the club opened in 1894 with nine holes before nine more were added two years later forming the championship layout played today. The site is fairly flat without dramatic dunes which produces a predictable golf course where nothing is manmade. This along with consistently true greens has endeared the course to many over the years.

<Wed, June 21 ~ Co Louth Golf Club
Today play Co Louth Golf Club (tbc). Found along the Irish Sea 40 minutes from Dublin’s airport, County Louth – or Baltray – is one of Ireland’s hidden gems. It was founded in 1892 but the essence of the layout was opened in 1938 as a Tom Simpson/Molly Gourlay design that has now been stretched to 7,031 yards. Simpson dotted the 190-acre property with only 50 bunkers, allowing the gorse and hilly terrain that borders the fairways to serve as its natural defense. There are no weak holes here and no two are alike. Better still, these greens are routinely among the best in the country. The club has hosted multiple Irish Opens and is a regular among Ireland’s top 10.

<Thu, June 22 ~ The Island Golf Club
Play at The Island Golf Club (tbc). From Bernard Darwin to Darren Clarke, masterful observers and champion golfers alike have enjoyed this fascinating links layout located north of Dublin along the Irish Sea. This is one of the oldest clubs in Ireland founded in 1890. Water surrounds the course on three sides. Massive dunes form virtual amphitheaters around several greens which are some of the best surfaces in the country. The par-4s are the stars here. There are 13 in all, covering all lengths and configurations. The 7th is one of the finest, a slight dogleg left that requires two precise and powerful shots. Its unclear who laid out the original course, but a succession of experts followed: Fred Hawtree, Eddie Hackett, Martin Hawtree and finally Mackenzie & Ebert whose remodel opened in 2019. It is always impressive to us how so many of these clubs never rest on their laurels.

Golf Schedule
Located 17 miles from Dublin city center, this 550-acre, 5-star golf resort has no equal in Ireland. Arnold Palmer designed both 18-hole courses, this one the North Course opened in 1991 and served as host for the 2006 Ryder Cup. It has also been the site for multiple European Open championships. It is a difficult golf course. There are 14 lakes on this meticulously manicured parkland layout with large, quick and severely sloped greens. True to form, Palmer’s favorite hole was No. 4, a risk-reward par 5 where overhanging trees guard the right side and the green entices golfers to take a swing.

Important Information
Handicap Certificate: Most courses require visitors to be a member of a recognized golf club and to hold official handicaps, with some courses imposing a maximum handicap restriction. PerryGolf endorses this viewpoint and recommends that players travel with a valid handicap certificate from their golf club which they may be required to produce.
Caddies: If you request caddies on your Reservation form, PerryGolf will make a request for caddies to each club in advance of your visit. PerryGolf enjoys a fine relationship with many golf clubs, and while each Club will do all they can to provide caddies, they cannot be guaranteed. Caddies are not employed by the clubs themselves or by PerryGolf. If you have requested a Caddie on your Reservation Form and the golf club subsequently provides a caddie or bag carrier you are required to make full payment for their services.
