For the travelers who have enjoyed playing the Old Course at St. Andrews in prior trips, The 150th Open in 2022 presents a unique opportunity. Generally, when the Old Course is closed, as it shall be June 18 – July 18 for The Open, many of the other premier courses are also quieter and are available. Indeed, to stay in St. Andrews and watch the “Home of Golf” prepare for The 150th Open and all that it brings will be memorable in its own way. Also attractive is to play a number of other courses in and outside of St Andrews – some which have hosted The Open, others that have hosted regional and national championships, and others that are often overlooked or new to the scene.
