As you would expect, we have been busy here at PerryGolf over the last week or so with the repercussions of the volcano in Iceland. Suppliers have been very helpful to those clients affected and, in the main, most groups have rescheduled their trip for later in the year. We have been asked about how the volcano has affected the weather and there seems to be an expectation that ash may have fallen on the courses. As I am based in Scotland I can confirm that the weather has not been affected and we are currently experiencing very pleasant golfing weather – although a little more warmth is always appreciated! As to ash laying on the courses, this has not occurred and there is certainly not a situation of ash falling from the skies.
It is all very normal here and with the opening of UK air space recently, it looks like things are back to normal.
