2014 British Open Escorted Tour

One of the most entertaining PerryGolf experiences imaginable is to combine your golf schedule with attendance to the British Open. Better still, all four rounds will be played on Open venues each comfortably established on GOLF Magazine’s World 100; The Ailsa Course at Turnberry (18), Royal Troon (48), Royal Birkdale (30) and Royal Lytham & St Annes (57). The chance to see the world’s best try their hand at the bump, the run, the heather and the gorse is unique, occasionally even therapeutic! Our tour treats you to the drama at its peak over the weekend at the 2014 Open venue, Royal Liverpool, the site where Bobby Jones claimed the third leg of golf’s original Grand Slam in 1930.

Non-golfers will enjoy a full schedule of sightseeing ranging from visits to Culzean Castle and Dumfries House, plus Rufford Old Hall where a young Will Shakespeare once preformed, along with charming Lord Street in Southport where the shopping is exceptional.

This Google Earth Video Tour, navigated by PerryGolf’s President Gordon Dalgleish, provides insight to a luxury PerryGolf package tour – The British Open Escorted 2014.  Including information on world renowned golf courses you’ll play to hotels in which you’ll stay and much more, the tour describes the itinerary for the 2014 British Open Tour by PerryGolf, and we hope you find this both interesting and informative.

Watch the Scottish Open on NBC

The 2013 and 2014 Scottish Opens will be televised on NBC, making them the first regular European Tour events televised on a  major United States TV broadcast network.  A two year agreement has been made between the Scottish Open’s title sponsor  Aberdeen Asset Management and NBC  in which NBC will broadcast two and a half hours of live coverage on the final two day’s play from Castle Stuart Golf Links in 2013 and Royal Aberdeen Golf Club, the venue for the 2014 Scottish Open.  This coverage will of course complement that from the Golf Channel, as this year’s Scottish Open starts this Thursday, July 11.

This is a major breakthrough for Aberdeen Asset Management as they, and the Scottish Government – the tournament’s other key supporter – will have the opportunity to promote themselves around the broadcasting.  Chief Executive of Aberdeen Asset Management, Martin Gilbert said, “The US is one of our most important markets and therefore we are very supportive of this new agreement with NBC and the Golf Channel.”

Chief Executive of The European Tour, George O’Grady went on, ““Following the vision and leadership of the Golf Channel, we are delighted to enter into this historic new agreement with NBC for live coverage of the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open for the next two years. It speaks volumes for the quality of the European Tour product, and specifically the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, that one of our most prestigious championships will be shown to a new audience on one of the prime TV networks in the United States in conjunction with our already outstanding coverage on the Golf Channel.”
