This week Gordon welcomes Gary Lisbon, a wide-ranging golf entrepreneur from Australia who has his hand in golf travel, corporate outings and coffee table book publishing (see “Great Golf Down Under”), all the while being one of the game’s leading golf course photographers. Jigsaw puzzles are his latest project which can be produced using any of his 115,000 photos from 524 courses across 22 countries.

This week Gordon welcomes Joe Plecker from Swing AI who has developed Swing Index – the first artificial intelligence app for personalized golf analytics and two-way digital instruction between players and world-class teaching professionals. Better play is obviously more fun which translates into one of Swing AI’s primary objectives to grow the game. We found their philosophy particularly interesting how the instruction progresses in one-step stages. Students are given an assignment and are not allowed to take on the next one until the current lesson has been mastered.

This week our guest for a Greenside Chat is Liam McDevitt, a lifetime golfer who grew up in Northwest Ireland playing Narin & Portnoo Links among the many other fine links in the region. Three years ago Liam purchased the club with Larry Foley, both men sharing a grand vision for restoring what was fundamentally a solid, if slightly dated layout. A complete renovation masterminded by Gil Hanse began in 2018 and was completed earlier this year.
