Gleneagles Hotel is an excellent golf resort with everything on site; an excellent spa, fantastic golf courses, outdoor activities and many top restaurants.  It’s not a surprise that they were nominated by Today’s Golfer and won the category forScotland’s Best Golf Resort”.  Awards were given across 12 categories and honoured the best clubs and courses in Spain, Portugal, France, Ireland and the UK.

Road Hole Restaurant’s New Dining Concept

In my opinion, the view from the Road Hole Restaurant in the Old Course Hotel, St Andrews is as good as it gets.  The floor-to-ceiling windows allow diners to look out over the 17th and 18th holes of the Old Course – and on a summer’s night (when the sun is shining) it really is hard to beat.  The 3 AA Rosette Awarded Restaurant’s menu has recently gone through extensive changes and they are now focused on the very best seasonal Scottish produce.  I’d strongly recommend that guests at the hotel sample the delights at least once during their stay – make sure to request a window table!

The Jaime Ortiz-Patiño Collection

Jaime Ortiz-Patiño owns one of the most famous collections of golf memorabilia in the world…and he’s set to sell it.  Nobody knows the reason for the sale, but we do know that his collection is ready to be sold at auction in London on the 30th of May this year.  Many of the items which will be for sale will be exhibited in Dubai, Hong Kong, and New York over the coming months to stir up some interest.  The collection is made up of golf balls, clubs, programs and official documents, and also some outstanding art-work.

A Little Bit of Italy

Little Italy, St. Andrews

We are asked by many of our clients to recommend dining options for them, so it is always good to hear when clients really enjoy a particular dining experience.  One such restaurant that consistently receives  rave reviews from our clients is Little Italy in St. Andrews.  It is a small family run restaurant with an Italian owner who is passionate about food and serving great traditional favourites in a warm, bustling atmosphere.  The quality of food is such that we had a group of 8 guys there last night who promptly cancelled their reservations at a completely different restaurant for the following night so they could go back to Little Italy again!  I have eaten there myself and certainly agree that the food, wine and atmosphere are great.

Make sure you pay them a visit the next time you are in St. Andrews – might be best to book in advance though!
